About Spiritus et Logos

What This Site Offers

Spiritus et Logos is a personal publishing project that provides Gospel-centered resources for individual study, congregational use, and small group discussion. Rooted in the theology of the Reformation and the historic confessions of the Church, these books and guides are designed to be theologically rich yet easily accessible.

All materials are freely available for download and distribution. They may be used in congregations, study groups, or personal devotional settings without charge or permission, so long as content is not altered.

Who Created This?

These resources were developed by Doug Frazer, a retired professor and active Lutheran lay teacher based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After decades of study and ministry, Doug began writing these guides to support faithful teaching, encourage honest questions, and offer clear Gospel comfort to those who seek Christ.

Why the Name Spiritus et Logos?

The name means “Spirit and Word.” Spiritus et is Latin, while Logos is Greek—a word used in the New Testament (John 1:1) to describe Jesus Christ as the eternal Word of God. This name reflects the deep unity of the Holy Spirit and the Living Word in the life of faith. This project is dedicated to lifting up that Word in all its clarity and power.

Purpose

This site offers Lutheran books and study guides rooted in Scripture and Confessional teaching, including the Small Catechism, Lutheran doctrine, and the writings of Martin Luther.

Submissions Policy

Spiritus et Logos is a personal project and is not accepting outside submissions or manuscripts at this time. Thank you for your understanding—and for your encouragement.
